Light Resin Transfer Molding
LRTM is a closed mold process in which two coordinating sides attach with a dry-loaded fiberglass component inside the base mold. Unlike RTM which uses pressure, light resin transfer molding utilizes a vacuum to pull catalyzed resin through the base mold to soak the fiberglass thoroughly. This procedure controls curing conditions, creating a part with smooth surfaces, and consistent thickness.

Opening Molding
Open molding is a simple, efficient and cost effective method that allows rapid product development. This incredibly versatile process can be performed in many ways, including: hand lay-up, spray-up, and as part of a robotic spray-up application, in which a single-sided mold acts as the form of the part. Open molding is the most accommodating of all of the composite fabrication processes as design and part size options are essentially unlimited.

Vacuum Bag Molding
Vacuum bagging is a clamping method that uses vacuum pressure to hold resin-coated fiberglass components in place until the adhesive cures. Using a vacuum to reduce pressure inside of the bag removes excess resin, entrapped air, and condenses the laminate, resulting in a higher ratio of fiberglass reinforcement. This process creates a high quality part without any air voids.
